P.L. 2007, c. 63 - Uniform Shared Services and Consolidation Act to encourage the financial accountability of local units of government through empowering citizens, reducing waste and duplicative services, clearing legal hurdles to shared services and consolidation, and supplementing, amending, and repealing sections of statutory law.

P.L. 2007, c. 56 - Establishes Division of Risk Management in the Department of the Treasury; reorganizes Office of Information Technology; requires consolidation of enhanced 9-1-1 public safety answering points.

Requires the NJ Board of Mediation to recognize representatives for employees of private employers who are not covered by the National Labor Relations Act and allows these employees to choose representatives either by signing cards to demonstrate a majority preference to have a representative, known as the "card-check" method, or by holding a traditional election in conformity with the procedures outlined in the NLRA.

Allows any voter who wishes to vote only by absentee ballot in a general election to receive an application for such a ballot automatically, without further request and until the voter requests that he or she no longer wishes to vote exclusively by absentee.

P.L.2004 c.75 - Creates an additional Urban Enterprise Zone in New Brunswick

P.L.2004, c.50 - Makes certain changes to taxes and fees imposed for hazardous substance transfers and discharges.

P.L.2004, c.51 - Imposes annual air toxics surcharge based on emissions at certain facilities.

P.L.2004, c.111 - Makes certain changes to procedures governing the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust Financing Program.

P.L.2003, c.74 - Appropriates $40 million from Hazardous Discharge Fund of 1986 to Hazardous Discharge Site Remediation Fund for cleanup of contaminated sites; cancels previous appropriation; replaces canceled appropriation with $40 million from 1996 Environmental Cleanup Fund.

P.L. 1999, c. 0366 - Authorizes municipalities to establish grant programs to provide relief to certain real property owners for damage due to floods, hurricanes and other natural disasters.

P.L. 1999, c.0262 - Emergency Disaster Relief Act of 1999 - This bill provides $80 million from the Surplus revenue Fund for the purposes of storm, flood and drought relief.

P.L. 1995, c. 344 - Fair Housing Act - Requires municipalities to establish methods to ensure the availability of low and moderate income housing units. The act amends existing law to reserve two percent of municipal affordable housing units for community residences for the developmentally disabled.

P.L. 1991, C. 285 - Permits municipal engineer to inspect and approve handicapped parking space signs

P.L. 1991, c. 228 - An Act Concerning Economic Development and Amending P.L. 1985 - Broadens powers of the Urban Development Corporation to develop any property, issue stock in its projects, borrow money against its assets, and make short-term construction loans to developers.

P.L. 1991 c. 25 - Worker and Community Right To Know Act - Exempts non-public schools from right to know fee.

P.L. 1990 c. 78 - Oil Spill Prevention Reform Act - Substantially reforms the Oil Spill prevention program of the New Jersey DEP.

P.L. 1990 C. 28 - Clean Water Enforcement Act - Provides for stricter enforcement of "Water Pollution Control Act." Imposes of mandatory penalties for water pollution.

P.L. 1989 c. 244 - Allows municipalities to schedule garbage collection fees based on number of containers for collection; assists senior citizens, those who generate less trash, encourages recycling.

P.L. 1989 c. 241 - Establishes a Green Acres Properties Subcommittee in the State House Commission to expedite review and approval of purchases of land by local government with Green Acres funds.

P.L. 1989 c. 220 - Conscientious Employee Protection Act Amendment - Provides for protection of employees who report environmental violations by their employers or employers business associates.

P.L. 1989 - Stormwater Management and Combined Sewer Overflow Abatement Bond Act of 1989 - Authorizes bond issue placed on 1989 ballot to establish a $50 million revolving loan fund to provide capital to municipalities for renovation of combined sewer systems and stormwater management projects to alleviate ocean pollution.

P.L. 1989, c. 52 - Nondriver Identification Card Act - Provides nondrivers with option of an official identification card issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles to facilitate cashing checks and access to senior citizen discounts and services.

P.L. 1988, c. 131 - Middlesex County Judges Act - Authorized the creation of two additional judgeships in Middlesex County to alleviate backlog of cases.

P.L. 1988, c. 69 - Child Sex History Shield Act - Excludes from evidence in prosecutions from certain child sexual or abuse-related crimes information about a child's past history of abuse, sexual experimentation, or sexual conduct.

P.L. 1988, c. 62 - Clean Ocean Education Act - Requires the N.J. Department of Education to develop educational materials for schools regarding the dangers of plastics and other materials to marine life.

P.L. 1988, c.61 - Ocean Pollution Bounty Act - Prohibits the discharge of litter into ocean waters and subjects violators to crime of third degree; provides bounty to citizens reporting violations.

P.L. 1988, c. 56 - Sludge Management Act - Requires industry to pretreat its sewage to the extent that the resulting sludge can be land disposed to avoid ocean dumping, and requires public sewage treatment facilities to develop a plan to implement land-based sludge management methods.

P.L. 1987, c. 223 - Retiree Retraining and Employment Demonstration Program - Established a State program for providing employment retraining and other services for senior citizens desiring to re-enter the workforce.

P.L. 1987, c.12 - Nuclear Waste Transportation Commission Act - Established a New Jersey Nuclear Waste Transportation Commission to provide State planning and assistance in determining overland routes for spent nuclear fuels, and to provide guidance to local public safety officials with respect to their role in Nuclear Transport accidents.
